The first important stage of our journey in the world of refrigeration touches on 1969, when the door mod. TL 236, the first MTH refrigerator door, has been produced and patented.
The beginning of the 90s saw the introduction of the PVC frame in replacement of the wooden one, built with a mechanical joint without welding, adaptable to any thickness of the cell walls, with the possibility of inserting an electrical resistance. Also in the 1990s, the classic rotating handle was substituted with a new closure system for refrigerated doors with safety system (CSI handle), which will become the standard for years to come.
In 2010 the new “Mirror” sliding system was patented, designed to be completely reversible and avoid any possibility of derailing, suitable for any type of sliding door and equipped with a gatefold cover.
2015 is an important year in terms of innovation: we begin to produce complete ranges of monoblocs for refrigerated counters, cabinets and cold rooms, equipped with a polyurethane hood capable of doubling the thermal insulation when compared to the traditional polystyrene hoods used by competitors.
2016 marks a new patent for MTH: the through lever handle for sliding doors, equipped with a telescopic system with precision adjustment, completely reversible and installable by making a single hole in the door.
Also, in 2016 we started developing (in particular for the German market) silenced condensing units with inverters, capable of refrigerating several cells with a single system.
And finally we come to today, with the launch on the market of the new compact monoblocs for refrigerated cabinets, another important news for our company.
At MTH we have always tried to imagine the challenges of the future to reach change first. An example?
MTH was a forerunner in the transition to new ecological refrigerant gases, equipping itself at the design and production level almost 10 years ahead of the legal requirements.
80 years have passed since the birth of our company and looking back we see a path dotted with many small and large innovations of which we are proud.
The future of refrigeration has yet to be written: we at MTH want to start doing it today.
