How did we come to be a leading company in the refrigeration industry?
Today we want to share with you some stages of our journey, to tell you more about who we are and who we were.
MTH was founded in Turin in 1942: our first headquarters in Via San Donato was a carpentry shop, specialized in the construction of special insulating windows, used in building.
1970 is a turning point for us, with the construction of the new production plant in Almese for the manufacture of refrigerated doors and manufactured products.
The success does not delay to arrive thanks to the high quality of the products, still purely artisanal.
In 2007, MTH acquired FrigorAfen, an Italian company with 50 years of experience, specializing in the production of hermetic refrigerating units, monoblocks and silenced units.
2009 marks another important milestone for MTH: the opening of the new plant in Almese which, with its 10,000 square meters, enables the company to increase production capacity and invest in new technological and cutting-edge processes, to prepare for new challenges.
The expansion towards foreign markets accelerates with the opening of the Kavaje plant in Albania and numerous locations around the world: in Bogota in Colombia, in Sonepat in India, in Nantes in France, in Rizaho in China, expanding the boundaries of our network to Malaysia with the opening of FrigoAfen Kuala Lumpur and in Singapore with MTH SEA.
We always like to look ahead, but also remember where we started: Italy, Piedmont and in particular Almese, where our company, our research and development center and a large part of our production is located.
But our story does not end here: we still have many ideas and many projects to imagine the future of refrigeration and we look forward to sharing them with you.
